Shiftora Privacy Policy
Shiftora keeps your shift information in local app storage. Limited analytics and diagnostics are used only if you choose to enable them.
Overview
Adstar Labs is the developer brand responsible for Shiftora. This Privacy Policy explains how the Shiftora mobile application handles information.
Shiftora is a shift-planning and estimated-pay tool. It does not require an account, does not contain advertising, does not sell personal information, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Information you provide
You may enter a role or workplace label, shift date, start and end time, unpaid break duration, and hourly rate. Shiftora uses these details to calculate working hours and estimated pay.
This information, along with your language preference and privacy choices, is stored in the app’s local storage on your device. Adstar Labs does not operate a Shiftora account system or cloud-sync service and does not receive the content of your shifts.
Analytics and diagnostics
Analytics and crash reporting are off by default. They are enabled only after you make a choice in Shiftora’s Privacy screen. If enabled, Google Firebase may process the following limited information:
| Service | Information | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics for Firebase | App interactions, selected screen names, app version, device and operating-system information, session information, and Firebase-generated app-instance identifiers. | Understand feature use and improve the app. |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash logs, stack traces, app state at the time of a crash, device and operating-system information, and Firebase-generated installation identifiers. Analytics events may appear as crash breadcrumbs when both services are enabled. | Diagnose crashes and improve reliability. |
Shiftora’s custom analytics events record only actions such as opening the shift form, saving or deleting a shift, or changing the schedule filter. They do not include your workplace or role label, shift date or time, break duration, hourly rate, or estimated pay.
Shiftora does not use advertising identifiers. It does not set a custom Firebase user ID, and there is no Shiftora account identity to associate with analytics or crash data.
How we use information
If you enable analytics or diagnostics, we use the resulting information to:
- measure whether core app features work as expected;
- understand general feature use and prioritize improvements;
- identify, reproduce, and fix crashes and reliability problems; and
- protect the integrity and security of the app.
We do not use this information for advertising, credit decisions, employment decisions, payroll processing, or profiling.
Retention and deletion
Local Shiftora data
Shift details remain in local app storage until you delete individual shifts, clear the app’s data through your device settings, or uninstall Shiftora. Deleting or clearing local data may be irreversible.
Analytics and diagnostic data
Firebase retains analytics and diagnostic information according to the service configuration and Google’s retention practices. Crashlytics crash reports are generally retained for 90 days. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
Because Shiftora has no account system, we generally cannot connect Firebase-generated identifiers to your name. You may still contact us with a privacy request, and we will respond as required by applicable law and explain what we can reasonably identify or delete.
Children’s privacy
Shiftora is intended for adults managing work schedules and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review the matter.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited information we process. Firebase data is transmitted using encrypted connections. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Analytics and diagnostics: open the Privacy screen inside Shiftora to enable or disable collection at any time. Withdrawing consent disables future collection, resets local Analytics data, and removes unsent Crashlytics reports.
- Local shift data: delete individual shifts in the app, clear app data in device settings, or uninstall Shiftora.
- System backup: manage app backup behavior through your operating-system or backup-provider settings.
- Privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding information we process.
International processing
Google Firebase may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, service providers use recognized safeguards for international data transfers. See Google’s Firebase privacy documentation for more information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Shiftora changes or when legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be presented through the app or this website when appropriate.
